This direct sourced from Japan matcha is fresh, earthy, and bright. DONA air freights it over to provide you with the freshest matcha possible which equals less astringency & more sweetness. This matcha comes from a blend of tea leaves sourced from several small plot farms in Uji, Kyoto. The tea leaves are selected and stone-milled by a fourth generation tea producer.

Did you know? Matcha originated in China where monks drank the beverage for its high caffeine content during meditations. During the 12th century, as buddhism spread to Japan, matcha was introduced to Kyoto where its popularity boomed.
Brew Recipe:
Scoop 1 tsp (2g) into a tea bowl
Add 2.5oz (75mL) of hot water (170F)
Use a matcha whisk (which we sell!) to whisk the until bubbly and frothy. Then serve hot or iced with milk of choice.
