Tellicherry peppercorns are a specific type of whole black peppercorn from India, more specifically the Malabar Coast of India in the port town of Thalassery (formerly Tellicherry).They are Indias'a highest grade. Characterized by their large size and mature flavor profile from being left on the vine longer than standard black peppercorns to develop a complex aroma with citrus and floral notes, a well-rounded and complex heat, and a fruity, woodsy taste.
