This is an open workshop where you can come between 11am and 1pm to use the indigo vat! \u003cem\u003eWe will be doing this outside at the green space next to the shop but please check in inside the shop first. \u003c\/em\u003eStephanie will be teaching fold techniques as well as supplying you with the tools you'll need to dye in the vat (buckets, gloves, clothespins, string, etc). We will be using the Yamato Indigo Kit from Japan that we sell in the shop! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTicket Price:\u003c\/strong\u003e $5.00 secures your spot for 1 piece to dye and is a commitment that you will show up! *Any additional pieces you know you will bring, you can purchase now or wait and pay upon arrival. Additional items are $5 each. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eItems You Can Dye:\u003c\/strong\u003e Only natural materials are allowed such as cotton, linen, ramie, and leather. This dye kit does not dye synthetic fibers. Non-heavyweight t-shirts, lightweight canvas totes, bandannas, tea towels, napkins, pillow cases, etc are all great items. Please do not bring heavy\/thick items or shoes. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBEFORE Workshop: \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eWhen dyeing brand new fabric, make sure to wash it before the workshop in hot water for best results.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAFTER Workshop:\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eYou will be responsible for setting your garment at home with white vinegar. Add 50ml white vinegar to 4 cups of water and soak for 5-10 minutes. Then rinse clean and dry naturally. You will want to then wash separately on cold wash or hand wash in cold water until dye bleeding stops.
